About the wine
The home of the Merlot grape is Bordeaux, where today it is still the most cultivated variety. In Ticino, Merlot is the uncontested king of grape varieties. It covers roughly 90% of the canton’s wine-growing area and is cultivated at the southern foot of the Alps from Bellinzona to Chiasso. Thanks to Ticino’s sunny, Mediterranean climate, the unique location of the vineyards and careful grape-processing methods, the region produces exquisite wines.

Character
Bright ruby red. Intensive aroma of fresh wild berries, light, fine spicy notes. Powerful structure, fine and elegant tannins. Full and balanced wine with a nice backbone. Warm and full-bodied finish.

Food pairings
Sunday beef, pork and lamb roasts. Mushroom dishes with polenta, rabbit ragout, hard cheeses.
